To Be Discussed
Our Pricing
Bringing home a kitten is an incredibly exciting decision, and we want our families to know exactly what goes into raising a Langleys Ragdoll and what is included when their kitten comes home.
Our kittens are raised within our family home with a great deal of time, care and affection. From thoughtful breeding decisions and health testing through to veterinary care and socialisation, our aim is to give every kitten the very best start before they begin life with their new family.
Colours at Langleys
We breed blue and lilac Ragdolls exclusively, in a selection of traditional Ragdoll patterns. We do not currently breed seal, chocolate, red, cream or other colours.
When is payment due?
An initial deposit of £300 is required to reserve your kitten, with the remaining balance payable on collection. We never ask for a deposit before you have had the opportunity to view your kitten and speak with us, allowing us to get to know each prospective family and ensure every kitten is carefully matched with the right home.
When can I collect my kitten?
Our kittens are usually ready to leave us at around 13 weeks of age, approximately one week after receiving their final vaccinations. This gives them a little time after vaccination before making the transition to their new home and allows us to ensure they are happy, healthy and ready to leave.
Health & Genetics
Responsible breeding begins long before a litter of kittens is born. We take hereditary health seriously when making decisions within our breeding programme.
All of our breeding cats are DNA tested for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and have tested negative for the known genetic variants tested.
Genetic testing forms one part of our approach to responsible breeding, alongside careful breeding decisions, good nutrition and appropriate veterinary care.
Every Langleys kitten also receives two veterinary health checks before leaving us, as well as their vaccinations and microchip. Our aim is to give each kitten the healthiest possible start while making responsible choices for future generations of Ragdolls.
Preserving the Ragdoll Temperament
For us, producing beautiful Ragdolls is only part of breeding them.
The wonderfully gentle, affectionate and people-orientated nature of the Ragdoll is one of the qualities we love most about the breed, and temperament is therefore an important consideration within our breeding programme.
Our kittens receive plenty of individual attention from an early age. Through play, gentle handling and affection, they learn to trust people and develop confidence in the world around them.
Raised within our family home and around my son, they experience the everyday sights, sounds and activity of family life. Being picked up, cuddled, played with and having people around them isn’t something introduced shortly before they leave — it’s simply part of how they grow up.
Our hope is that every Langleys kitten leaves us displaying the affectionate, confident and companionable nature for which the Ragdoll is so loved.
Raised With Care
The first weeks of a kitten’s life shape far more than their physical development.
From the moment they are born, our kittens live alongside us in our home. We watch them grow from tiny newborns into individual little personalities, giving them the time, interaction and experiences they need along the way.
They are given opportunities to play, explore and learn, while receiving plenty of human interaction and affection. As they grow, we gradually prepare them for the transition from our home to theirs.
By the time one of our kittens leaves Langleys, they have been raised as part of our family rather than simply raised for sale.
And although their time living with us comes to an end, our relationship with their new families doesn’t have to. We are always happy to hear how our kittens are getting on and to offer support as they settle into their new homes.
More Than a Kitten
When you choose a Langleys kitten, you’re not simply choosing a pedigree Ragdoll.
Behind every kitten are carefully considered breeding decisions, health-tested parents, veterinary care, quality nutrition and weeks of individual attention, affection and socialisation.
We want every Langleys kitten to leave us healthy, confident and thoroughly prepared for life with their new family.
Beautiful Ragdolls. Wonderful temperaments. Raised with care.
